unless it's matched my cookie and is showing me my "hidden" email address as owner, the profile set-up doesn't hide the email address if requested.

Hmmm. Did you edit the settings? I think 'on' is the default.

It was difficult to convert the user list and a couple of the fields were left blank (that being one of them).

yes, i edited the setting twice, when i went back to check profile email address was still visible. It seems to be fixed today, however, so move it to a back burner.

I think I know what happened here. The 'email visible' checkbox is on by default - even though it is blocking your email adr, but it does properly save your settings. on the list.

The next thing I'm going to do with email, is an option for users to completely hide their email, yet receive email. Huh?

User will click to send you email and a form window will open up. They enter their message and then the system will dig up your email address and then IT will send you the email - not the user. With proper 'spam' traps, I should be able to eliminate email harvestors all together.
