Confused about not being able to access anything

I haven't been here for quite a while. I was a supporter but got a new credit card and forgot about updating when my subscription expired. Anyway, it seems I can't access too much of anything now. At one time there was a lot of forums outside of the supporters area. Did that change? When?

Is there any place I can still ask or find out what's known about youtube search? Can't get many views there and it occurred to me today that it reminded me of search penalties sites used to get.

Perhaps a dumb question, but are you running an ad blocker or script blocker? Whitelist ww and what happens.

You should be able to access the Forums Index: [webmasterworld.com...] where all the forums are listed in their categories.

BTW - Welcome back, Trisha!

not2easy - thanks! - I'm thinking its a cookie problem because when I try going to any other forum I get prompted to log in again. I have a new laptop, I don't know if it has anything to do with that but I haven't had any problems logging in.

What browser? You say new laptop, what OS? As for cookies, that's browser level and it still sounds like you need to whitelist (or change the general level of internet access) in the browser.

A year or more back ww went to bootstrap which changed things.

Some time ago I believe that we were asked to change our passwords in the interest of security so it might help if you go to your account and change/update your password, to take advantage of some of the new changes and updates on the forums. Your older cookies could be looking for things/settings that don't exist anymore.

tangor - firefox on windows 10, but I just checked on my old laptop, and its the same there. Must be something with my account. Is there a google forum that is not behind the paywall? I thought there used to be. The only one I see now, I can't get into.

you should be able to see 80+ forums in the forums list [webmasterworld.com] including several in the Google category.

In the overall Forums Index, the Supporters forum is the first group. So make sure you're not clicking in that area, or you will be asked to log in again--and the login box doesn't look any different from the generic login that you already did. Some subforums in Supporters have similar names to subforums in the public areas, so it's a common "oops".
