I seem to be experiencing the same problem as mentioned in this thread (which I guess is too old to contribute to?)...

Just posted in the following Apache thread, but my post count did not increase? (It was on 10 before I posted, and after posting it's still on 10.)

I suspect there are times the "backend" is busy and updates run seconds to minutes later, in between browser refreshes.

Edit ... just checking. Community does advance post count, but FOO does not. Are there any others which don't advance post count?

No, there's no others.

It may be the return of a bug we thought we'd fixed. Keep posting around the forums and report back.

It doesn't increase for me as well. I think some 3 or 4 posts haven't been counted.

ambt, I suspect you were posting in Foo where counts don't increase, but I can see they have been increasing since you posted. :)
