If this subject came up before... well, I don't know.

The search function here never returns results. I have tried Firefox, IE and Chrome -- JS enabled, adblocking off... Latest version of FF, IE 9, I forget about Chrome.

Just thought I'd mention it. Could be just me though.

Crystal ball says you're entering a search term and hitting Return/Enter instead of selecting from the dropdown. If so, you are far from the first to be bitten.

Or did you mean that you arrive on a results page and never see anything but "your search returned no results"?

Speaking of our site search... where did it go? I don't see it where I left it.

Either one of our coders removed it without telling me, or one of my add blockers is hiding it. I haven't added any new browser addons lately but I did stay at a Holiday Inn (where I upgraded to Windows 10.)

Ya think that's it?

OK, found it on mobile via Android but still don't see it on desktop via Firefox.

It disappears at something like 990px width.

It's really odd, it's only at that size.

@default password we tried to offer a search option with the dropdown, and that's why it didn't appear to work with the enter key. We've fixed that up so now you just hit enter, but it will now default to a specific search engine. The dropdown is still there.

Not only at that size. It is gone for me at 1600.

.. and then there's that other range of 50px or so where the dropdown, er, drops down to a second line before bouncing up inline again :)

I hate that!

-------------

Actually, on Windows I usually cruise about at 1680 x 1050 since most web pages look too stretched any larger.

But on Linux I keep it at 1920 x 1080 for my audio recording software. I rarely go online but I did to check the Search utility.

As I thought, it is nowhere to be found at either display setting. That's just wrong.

And yes, I'm aware I can just Bing or Google site:www.webmasterworld.com + searchterm
