We have some people talented with JavaScript on these forums, why sell out the talent here and use the worst browser-bloat offender possible? :(

On a positive note I like that there are tools here and I just saw the link just to the right of the logo, good stuff.

No point in reinventing the wheel surely. IMO when you're going to view multiple pages, the overhead works out quite nicely.

What part of what you just typed do you not understand? JavaScript is already built IN the browsers! 99.9% of the scripting most people will code has already been written in NORMAL JavaScript! jQuery is as bad as an epidemic on the web as WordPress.

Why does Jquery exist at all then? I would bet it saved a lot of time creating these tools, particularly if more than one person wrote them. I don't like reading other people's code.

It's naught but a rather small jpeg's worth of bytes, simplifies many tasks and if pulled from a CDN, quite possibly in the user's cache already. Worse things could happen!

Thanks. I figured such but wasn't sure how to provide feedback. The Feedback buttons don't enable one to hit submit after completion of form & required fields.

FYI I'm super thankful for the tools and happy to test and provide input in beta. For now, I'll just play... ;-)

jQuery?! REALLY?!

Because it's done in Twitter Bootstrap which requires jQuery, an industry standard.

I use Twitter Bootstrap and jQuery myself and highly recommend it for anyone that wants to get highly functional cross-platform sites developed without breaking the bank or wasting a lot of time on tedious browser details.

Also, RWD is a big step forward for WebmasterWorld, I like it!
