Suddenly, for some reason, clicking on recent posts brings up the unanswered posts list.
I've trashed cookies and cache and logged in again, but no joy. Is it just me?

Ah, the magic of Perl.
I'd guess that's to try to help out the folks anxiously waiting for their answers, but to change the post order just click on the "Date" field in the top row and it'll re-arrange.

Well yes. But that is different behaviour to normal. And it no longer automatically updates as new post come in.

Brett in the past has done this to alert people to the Unanswered posts on WebmasterWorld.
Try and answer a few and he might reset it back for us ;)

In the Active List/Recent Posts display click the DATE field [webmasterworld.com] to sort the list to how it is supposed to be.

Yes, this is very annoying. Can we cookie this back to the right way?
Edit: Just took a better look at it. This can't possibly be intended behaviour, can it?

Ya, if we can have some help cleaning up the orphans, that would be great. Thanks

Brett, you're saying recent = unanswered and that's the way it's supposed to be?
Edit: Let me just say I *never* hit the 'unanswered posts' link, except by accident. It wouldn't surprise me if many of the other members were the same way.

Yes, we'll leave it set to orphans for now. We really would like some help cleaning them up. Please help out there.

thanks for helping out. We got a ton of stuff responded too. It has always been a goal of ours to have zero orphan questions on the forums. There are times when news and info related posts - that isn't required, but the places where people ask a question, that is really important that they get a good answer. Thanks so much for helping out with that cause. We are going to continue to re-emphasize and highlight that going forward.
What are some ways we can do that? eg: increase community participation in new posters or answering thread starters?
