Where do I turn off post email notifies?

I mean, somewhere besides within the post/reply

Since last weekend, something has changed, something fixed that wasn't working before or the checkbox "Do you want an email notification of new replies?" is now checked by default. I don't recall if it was checked before last Saturday, but don't think it was. At any rate I'm now I'm getting bombed by email notifies.

Is there a global "turn it off" somewhere? Couldn't find it in the CP if it's there. I'm too 'tarded to remember it every time. :-)

click on "owner edit" on the post that you are receiving msgs from... unclick "notify"...

(ya, there should be a 1 click from the email - but there isn't - yet - in the works)

And... where has the "Do you want an email notification of new replies?" gone from the Quick Reply box? I always use the Quick Reply box and now never get notified - unless I go back and edit the post?!

Removed, a while back as it was only a test. Full Reply still gives you the option.

Well, as if by magic, I see it too now - so it looks like it's been put back! Wow, I speak for the people, I am the voice that is listened too!? Or may be it was just magic!? :)

Followup to Brett and crew: there should be in CONTROL PANEL an option to view all user tagged NOTIFICATION via email... and a delete flag option. If you can keep sending the stuff there is a list of what can be turned off... make it simple!

Getting lots of email notifications. Never checked any boxes. And when I got to the posts, the boxes aren't checked for me to uncheck. Unhappy.

It seems that if you have checked the box on any one of your posts within that thread you will get notified (my last post on Aug 15 above is unchecked, but my earlier posts are - so I got notified). But you say you've never checked any boxes?! Hhmmm. Unfortunately it seems there is no easy way to manage your thread subscriptions yet?!

Not in the five and a half years I've been a member. Only email notifications I have ever set were for sticky notes.

I come in every morning and catch up on the threads that look interesting to me. I also have WebmasterWorld in my RSS reader. I don't follow the entire site by a long shot.
