Why I contribute

It’s been asked of me recently, by more than a few members of this community, why do I give so much away? First I’d like to thank all of you that feel what I have contributed is worthy of that question. If you look at my post counts I haven’t even hit 400 yet and that’s in over a year while many of my esteemed colleagues are well over 1000 in the same amount of time. Ok, granted some of my posts are a bit long winded.

It’s this place, this Webmaster World or as I affectionately think of it, Brett’s living room. I get so much from here every day. I am a confessed technical doofus and without Webmaster World here to answer my questions people would question whether I knew anything at all. It’s all about payback and the whole ‘circle of love’ thing that I try to live my life by. I give, I get, and so on.

Webmaster World is a true community with some of the greatest minds meeting to share their knowledge. Please never stop sharing. If you’ve been shy about posting for the first time just work it out on paper first and then jump in. You probably have something to add or contribute that none of us may have considered.

Anyway, it’s great to be here. I really love this place and I thank you all for sharing with me and helping me to be better at what I do.

i always think of you as mr hub.(edit erm i meant miss ) as i've read and reread that particular thread and am trying to implement the theory into my sites right now,

hopefully i won't be shy of sharing some of my findings/observations as the results kick in over the next few months.

actually i much appreciate all postings here, the inspiration i've found is beyond value

Well said paynt! I agree that this place is so great, and it's the members like you who make it that way.

It seems I get more than I give also. I'm sure there are many others in the same position. Let's not forget that we can give in other ways. Frinstance, you can hit the 'Donate' button at the top of the page on a regular basis.
