I've gotten questions asking who the host is here the last couple of days because it is so slow and unresponsive. It's [westhost.com...] - You make the call.

A killerstream (leaseline).

>killerstream

I'm not familiar with that, caine. Is that DSL or a T1?

It's ISDL, or an always on ISDN dedicated circuit - T1, is one step up.

Shared T1 at work and 56k at home. Haven't noticed anything out of the ordinary. Once in a while things move at less than light speed but that happens with any web site.

On Wed. things were a bit slow when I was using a Shared T1, but then they returned to normal....I am on a dial-up right now, and I am having no problems.

The last few days its been extremely slow and unresponsive. I am on a 56K modem. I have to refresh pages all the time when I go back and forth from various posts and forums.

Laine, it must be the hops you have to go through to get here, a bottleneck somewhere. I am on adsl and have been eating Bretts bandwidth heavy for the last 2 days catching up on things and its running fast. Maybe 1 out of 25 requests I get a 1 second lagg, but that is just to be expected on the net.

Brett, I'm glad you don't pay for bandwidth or you'd probably send me a bill ;) running good!

There was an issue a couple of nights ago with network congestions just outside the host (uunet). It was that way for 10 hours). I think that is what Liane was running into.
The host speed here has actually improved lately.
