I'm new here! My name is Tom, I'm 20 and I'm from the UK. I'm doing a degree in Computer Science: Web Development.
I've been web designing now for about 4 years now. Last year or so I got into the programming side of things but have only touched on flat file things that I've built myself.
I'm a dab hand with HTML and CSS and look to vastly improve my PHP knowledge while here. So far I've achieved straight A's in my C++ classes over the last two years at uni so hopefully PHP wont be much harder. Same principles aye?
I've used what I know so far to make myself a bit of cash on the side and run a web design business. I've currently done work for a radio station, 2 music promotion businesses, a hotel, a band, a club and a piercings supplier.
And that's it!
See you around peeps,
Tom.

PHP, ehhh? ;) Active participation in the PHP forum, or any forum for that matter, will certainly boost your knowledge exponentially. I'm sure you'll find it quite a comfy home around here.
Happy learning :)
the PHP forum at WebmasterWorld is very active and has some excellent contributors and moderators.
and we could probably use your contributions in the CSS forum in the mean time...
