Forum Moderators: open
I'd like to assure you that you're not crazy, strange things are happening, and yes, we know about them (well, most of them).
Brett is doing some major software upgrades. He is slowly adding features to the software and rolling them out (although you don't see them - they're not turned "on" yet). As each mini-release happens, a few glitches work their way to the surface. A few features have been "taken away" so that they can be worked on or upgraded.
Please keep an eye on the announcements [webmasterworld.com] link at the top of the page. Major news will be posted there.
Also, please read the pinned thread at the top of the forum, V5 WebmasterWorld Software Updates, Additions, and Changes [webmasterworld.com].
Finally, although the admins and mods are aware of many of the glitches, there is no way to catch them all! You can help us out by replying to this thread and listing any problems you are seeing - that way they're all in one place (rather than in 15 different threads).
Thanks for your help.
(Edited to add: I've spliced all of the various threads together and added them to this one, so that we can minimize dupe threads.)

Today in my control panel, I wanted to click on 'My Thread' but clicked 'My Flags' by mistake. Amongst my flagged threads was this message also from me, exactly (3 days off) 2 years ago about the exact same thing.
So this year I will post exactly the same questions I ask 2 years ago ... if only I knew how to track my messages by date posted :)
I know it's rubbish but the situation made me smile
A lot of small code changes are happening on the site to pave the way for larger changes. I suspect if things are disappearing for you, it's not because you're forgetful!Hang tight while the site is tweaked over the coming weeks.
Periodically (about 50% of the time), requests for active.htm result in [an error occurred while processing this directive] and clicks to forums redirect me to [webmasterworld.com...] with a login prompt (although I'm logged in).
Is this just me? It happens in a few different browsers, and I put it down to site upgrades at first, but now I'm not so sure.
;)
Both
Shut up and tell you what goes wrong? huh? :P
These problems seem to have disappeared anyway.
...along with my custom html header, although I expected that. 'Unaswered posts' was one of three links I had, and that appeared of its own accord in the top navigation. The other two were 'my threads' and 'my flags' in case anyone cares. Flags are hard to use though since the date ordering has always been screwed.
Keep an eye on the Announcements [webmasterworld.com] (found at the top of the page in the nav bar) for info on software updates.
Shut up and tell us what's wrong and please try to be patient because I think you'll like the improvements you'll see when this is all finished! ;)

Was this an intentional drop of the recent additions, did it move, or did I just forget where it was? :-)
