Sorry but I am a webmaster of a site with 2.5 million users a year, and I just have to say that I was totally annoyed by the registration rules here. Im going to give this feedback, which I hope will be read by the owners of this forum, and taken with the respect that is intended.

The username I use everywhere on the internet is HLT or HLTcom. I dont own www.hlt.com. That being said, your arbitrary rules for registration drove me up the wall:

Username try 1: HLT
Response: "Usernames cannot be all capitals, they are annoying".
The only thing annoying is this rule.

Username try 2: HLT
Response: "Username is too short".
What? Why?

Username try 3: HLTcom
Response: "Username cannot contain "com".
LORD! Give me a break!

Username try 4: HLTc
Response: "Approved"
Response: "Emails from HOTMAIL not allowed"
Are you kidding me?

Try number 5: HLTc + personal email address that i really dont want to give out because I have gone 5 years without getting junk mail sent to it:
Response: Approved.

Thanks for taking the time for the feedback.

Most of the sign-up process was developed to help minimise spam. Nothing is perfect, of course.
