Why more inactive in summer?

Don't wanna sound impatient, but...

This might sound stupid, but why is such a big site so... inactive? Very rarely do I see any replies or new topics.

Have you tried the "Recent Posts" link at the top of the page?

Running about 2k active msgs a day off 300 active threads, with 400k pv's and 100k+ uniques. That is right in line with most of the past slow august summers. However, euro pv's are tanking right now, and will bounce back after the summer holidays. Some topics are historically slower than others - depends on the area of interest.

summer is terrible in every single niche I work in. Summer weekends are nearly unbearable for web traffic ime
