Beginner, intermediate, expert tags for posts?

It occurred to me, when I was looking for more advanced info about Adwords and I thought about browsing WebmasterWorld but recalled that most of the top posts were questions from beginners, that it might be useful for WebmasterWorld users if posters tagged their posts with the 'experience level' to which they feel their posts belong.

Alternatively the post authors' membership level (e.g. Junior member) could be used?

I thought this would be useful for me because it would make navigating to the most appropriate post(s) easier. However this may reduce the overall functionality of the forum for users; I don't know.

Does anyone have an opinion about this idea?

trouble is

allowing members to assess the level of expertise for their own post wouldn't work, they would always get it wrong

the user level doesn't have anything to do with their level of expertise with AdWords, just how much they have contributed here

I appreciate the logic but it is very difficult to find a way to pre evaluate questions

As with all forums you need to read members posts to be able to assess whether or not they know their stuff.

Guess you're right - think it's more of a Social Media thing - get the readers to tag it rather than the poster.

E.G. At the bottom of thread pages:

Rate this post for usefulness.
Rate this post for technical level? - would need to be worded better.

This is something a search engine can't really do just yet, so it needs people to categorize/rank it, so that we can find the right information more easily according user opinions. You might also give more leverage to ratings from posters who have posted more posts.

The problem with reader rated posts is that sometimes truly innovative and groundbreaking posts get little to no attention.
