Sorry for this rather off-topic post. I believe I'm a paying member and supporter but I'm getting the impression that's not the same as being a "full" member...? I've been trying to post in the commercial forum (http://www.webmasterworld.com/commercial_exchange/) but it doesn't seem to work. Please enlighten me because I don't get what's going on.

For what it's worth, I was about to post about finding out whether anyone is interested in pixel ads. Anyway, long story short, am I a "full member"?

Cheers

A priviledge to be able to welcome such a long time lurker to your first outing ;)

Welcome!

Membership status is entirely based on post count. There is a thread about this in the Community Center forum. See Bretts post about 5 down in this thread:-

Hi Trillian, thanks for the pointers!

Wow, 80 posts to reach full member!

Now, I can rant and rave on stuff all day long and I do think I have one or two things to contribute from my humble experience, but 80 posts? :-)

Now there's a challenge! Yep I've been lurking a looong time and I've seen the S/N ratio decrease over the years, but ... is that a challenge for me to contribute to the noise just so I can finally post my commercial message? Oh boy....

Not that I have a better idea how to handle this. I'm sure Brett is doing just fine. OK well I'm ready to earn my privileges but I suppose this is going to take months - oh well :-)

Some advice on your quest for 80 posts: Posts in Foo do not count.

I'm sorry if it puts a damper on things but, a Full Member is currently 200 posts.

The Commercial Exchange forum is only there to support our long term members.

Oh, and Welcome to WebmasterWorld!

I don't think posts in Community Center count either.

<added> Oops, my bad; this one just added to my post count. I don't think they used to count. </added>
