I've been a lurker here for a short while and have picked up some great advice along the way. I was just wondering why hardly anyone here has their web site's in their profiles. Is this against some rule I'm not aware of or is it just personal preference? Just curious. :)

lots of reasons..

if people know you're getting rich from AdSense, they may look at your site and steal your ideas (or content) - or get jealous and click-bomb you..

or, as in my case, they may see my site and make fun of my LAME html and writing skills..

I prefer to keep my goldmine private.

keeping things secret is a good idea, you get click bombed from your friends because of jealousy all the time, and it's no laughing matter to you , but to them it's unfair that your making gold while they slave for copper.

Some people get in to real heated discussions here. Tempers flare sometimes. Especially when someone is being accused of unethical practices. You wouldn't really want these people attacking your site or business.
