"On Hold" Policy for Google Search Forum

How about relaxing this for senior and preferred members?

It is easy to see the purpose of placing a new topic on hold.

However there are some disadvantages - on hold posts might get released in batches, for example, or you can't get some immediate feedback on an issue that is important to you.

Why not try removing the on hold penalty for senior and preferred members - if someone abuses it, simply blacklist them and take away the privilege....

Isn't this a relaxation of a rule as opposed to another rule?

Having said that, it's not the on hold that bothers me so much as the mail that tells me a new thread has been started. I click the link, wait for the browser to find the page only to be told that it is on hold. This wastes people's time.

Wht bother telling people that a thread has been started when it is not yet available?
