Gmail addesses not allowed?

When signing up earlier today, I noticed Gmail addresses weren't allowed. Might I ask why?

Also, when I first entered my Gmail address, I appended the username with +WebmasterWorld so that I could easily sort this in my Gmail inbox. However, when I submitted and got the message that Gmail addresses weren't allowed, I noticed the forum software had removed the plus sign. Might want to have that fixed as it will cause problems for some people.

Welcome to the forums Rickard. For security reasons the board rejects applications using free email addresses, so Gmail isn't acceptable at this time. You may alter your email address in your profile at any time once registered.
