The first time, I am going to pubcon. I will be arriving on April 15. Any suggestion where can I hang on? Apprarently, I will be free on April 16, 17.
I am a businessman and a crazy Chinese programmer, what I interested most is business! I would like to visit some local Internet companies there if possible. Any suggestion how can I find them and ask them to offer me a cup of tea kindly there?
I was planning on running, but I don't think they allow you to run the marathon with a (beer in your hand) or holding a laptop. ;)
And I search from the job market. Those companies who are looking IT people will probably be growing companies who would like to see some opportunities.
I think I know a little where to go now. Thanks so far!

Here are six nearby restaurants:
- Lenox Hotel (almost next to convention center) has Solas Bar (you know, the Irish Pub!), and the Azure Restaurant and the City Bar.
- Sebastians Novel and Map Room (700 Boylston St)
- Jae's (711 Boylston St)
- Morton's, The Steakhouse (699 Boylston)
- Typhoon (725 Boylston)
- Pizzeria Uno (731 Boylston)
Here are six nearby pubs not already mentioned above:
- Stephanie's of Newbury (190 Newbury St) (oooh, sounds fancy, I wonder if there is a Dunkin Donuts... of Newbury too!)
- Ten Huntington Bar & Grill (10 Huntington Ave)
- Top of the Hub (800 Boylston)
- Dick's Last Resort (55 Huntington Ave)
- Oak Bar (138 St James Ave)
- Rebeccas Cafe (122 Newbury St)
Other local shops:
- If you just can't leave Boston without getting a facial peel, stop by Dermalogica at 745 Boylston St. Oh the irony.
- Get your eyebrows plucked at Rachel's Eyebrow & Makeup at 176 Newbury St.
- Get everything else plucked at Everbare Laser Hair Removal, 10 Newbury St.
- Get a butt lift at Back Bay Plastic Surgery, 38 Newbury St. I'm sensing a pattern here.
You know, there is such a thing as too much information :)

Don't forget about all the history.
The "Freedom Trail" is the only US National Park within a city. It's a walking tour of historical Boston that you can do on your own or with a guide. I have never yet completed the whole thing even after several attempts over the 23 years I've lived here -- because it's so fascinating to me I just get stuck too many times along the way.
Many historical celebrations in Boston and surrounding areas. In Lexington and at Concord Bridge there are reenactments of some famous battles on Monday. You can get there using the subway and then taking a commuter train. Search the National Park service site for more info.

FYI: Commuter Rail stops at the Concord Depot. From the Depot, the North Bridge Unit is a 1.5-mile walk.
