Q: Why might I have to login or register to access WebmasterWorld?
A: Certain ISP's have historically been havens for rogue download bots, bot nets, and high abuse users. Those ISP's, do little to control the abuse. Therefore, we do require login from some nortorious ISP's that harbor high abuse users. Aside from that, it is an issue that brushes shoulders with security policies. Clearly there is a limit as to the amount of public information that can be disclosed about security protocols and procedures.
