Blocking blocks of IPs from access

I can access WebmasterWorld just fine - for now anyway at least, but a buddy of mine in Texas just pinged me and can't because he's blocked from accessing WebmasterWorld by IP.

Ummmm.... that is Yahoo/SBC, folks (him and me both), with a LOT of subscribers - which I am also, but from a different IP because of different geo location.

Maybe IP blocking should be given a second look, if it involves major service providers.

The only time we totally block an ip is due to abuse.
