A flood of dismal economists who think that they know how to use Web 2.0?

Yeah, cause that's soooo very important when compared to the other things that get discussed. Oh well, so long as they spell the site name right, it's all good I suppose.

It is always good to see a mention of this site in the mainstream press :)

Is there a link to an online version?

Headline: Dancing with Google's spiders
Subject: Search engines
Tagline: "Google is engaged in an elaborate dance with firms determined to keep their websites high up in its rankings"
Where: the Mar 9th 2006 print edition
Author: hmm, well I guess they don't have writers there. Written by The Economist I guess

Drop that headline (w/ quotes) in any search engine and you've got it (may have to watch an ad for a "day pass" or something).

<Admin note: spliced from another thread>

The Economist, a British newsmagazine with a free-market bent, has an article in its latest "Technology Quarterly" supplement regarding Google and various aspects of search-engine optimization.

"Dancing with Google's spiders [economist.com]" doesn't say anything that would be particularly "new" to the folks here, but I thought it was kind of cool that WebmasterWorld was mentioned in the second paragraph.

FYI: It's editorial policy at The Economist that their correspondents are not named.
