Can't read mail

I have message on the top of each page:
You have mail: [ inbox:2 - unread:2 ]

When I click on that link, I can't see any mails:
Displayed 0 messages in inbox of 0 messages.

How can I read those messages or remove this notification?

Can you check, do you now have 3 messages, and can you now read them?

Now I have 4. But I can see only 2 test messages now.

Which means you have 2 total msgs with those two being unread.
