Continuing problems with Flagged Threads

The original thread [webmasterworld.com] is locked. The last reply was nearly two months ago.

This is still an ongoing problem. None of the threads I've flagged have been moved and yet I get the 404 message.

Am I the only one? Or has everyone else given up on trying to get it fixed?

I've resorted to using my browser's bookmarks as a work around but it's not much help at telling me if a thread has been updated recently.

No you are not the only one, AFAIK this affects us all. Brett and his team are having long term problems that they have not yet been able to address. My notifications have not been working properly for a few months either. There is a bug in there that I understand they cannot track down. This is more of a problem since it prevents timely participation in important threads and unlike the flags problem there is no way round it.

I think one of the things that is missing from the forum is a status page where we can go to check the status of problems like this. Quite often threads like this are locked, which is unfortunate when there is no way of finding out if problems are of a general or personal nature. If an up to date forum status page was provided these threads would not be necessary. They could all just be pointed the to the status page, which would display information about ongoing problems.

That seems like a great idea. Maybe Brett can work on that after he's fixed the flagged threads and notification problems. ;)

Yes, I think it would help. It could also be used to get feedback on problems where necessary. I have suggested this in the past but it was not taken onboard.

I think I found the root of this one and should be working as normal again. Thanks.
