What's happened to all the WebmasterWorld images?

Have yours disappeared?

I've check it in three browsers and mostly all I have is alt text descriptions instead of images!

Anyone else seeing this?

There is a big router out somewhere. Must be a pretty core one - city level?

traceroutes are dying well outside chicago where the data center is. We have good connectivity to the west coast and midwest though.

Westcoast is fine..

According to the graphs on the Internet Traffic Report site, North American packet loss doubled some time after four this morning (MST).

Looks like there may be a significant break somewhere in Michigan.

I'm not getting images here in CA, but I know our online apps are suffering because of it since they are hosted out of an ann arbor server. I think sprint is hurting pretty bad right now...

Had them back for about 5 minutes now they are gone again. No wonder stats are not updating.

No images here in Maine (Time Warner Road Runner). My browser can't find the server hosting images.

Are the images coming from some other site? I still don't see any from Oz.

I still wonder, why this only affects images, if it's a general connectivity problem.
I can see the WW.com Logo, though.

Still no images in Florida. :/

I can see the WW.com Logo, though.

All the images (except the logo) are hosted on a separate domain (http://showcase.netins.net/) with a different hosting company than WebmasterWorld.

Interestingly enough I changed computers in my school's network and now the images don't work anymore. Doesn't make sense that it's only for specific computers in the network....?

This whole issue sounds like a DNS issue like maybe some bad A records. In regards to not working on some computers on a single network, it could simply be a matter that some computers may have cached the IP address for the image server while other computers had to request the IP address from domain servers, which do not currently have the correct IP address.

Could that maybe be because the first computer you were on had the images in cache. :p

Most likely. The second computer should have had the images in cache, too. But whatever, I'm home now ;)
