No new posts on new post bulleted forum

Every so often I get a new post bullet next to a forum but when I click through there are no new posts. Clicking the reset link fixes it. Is this down to posts being removed?

At the time of posting it is currently happening for me on the directories forum. I haven't reset if anybody wants to investigate. Last checked forum roughly 24 hours previously.

Check your browser settings - it may be reading from the cache.

In IE, select tools, in General, Temporary Internet files and click settings. Look at the selection and confirm you're on something such as "every time you visit."
Hit OK, and hit OK again.

It can be that a post was spam and deleted too. That can sometimes make the red ball show up depending on your surfing habits.
