Have you ever considered adopting this feature, Brett? A lot of forums have this and it's extremely useful in deciding whether or not to read a post, especially as webmasters tend to be fairly busy folk! It could also (presumably) save on bandwidth.
Just a suggestion... :)

We considered it, but BT says that it would be a massive bandwidth hog.

If you have 50 msgs on a title list, and you crank out 500 to x0,000 chars of the post - how many of those hoovers are ever going to be used? Very few.
That said - it is an intriguing idea. I did play around with that sort of feature - might make it an option that you have to flip on yourself.
