Why?

I sometimes throw in a one liner here and there. The last one was totally snipped, even though it cut straight to the chase.

I don't understand this. The post was ontopic (heh, that's a change), made a valid comment and was not derogeratory in any way.

No fair.

After adding a couple of posts that seemed quite valuable (to me), then going back over where I posted to find a valid comment snipped really puts me off sharing my opinion.

In the future could the mod prehaps help me out by saying why it's been snipped so I may learn (I am not dense and have read WebmasterWorld for over 4 years), sometimes I wonder why?

Also what are the protocols for submitting posts to the commercial exchange, beacuse I have tryed a few times and can't get a post up to save my life (hehe). Am I even ellegible? Or are my posts just sounding like crap? I don't know, any insight would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers
Ben

re your post(s) being snipped:
try contacting the forum mod to ask him/her why it was deleted - if it was as you mentionned:
  • it was on topic
  • it added something to the discussion ie. it wasn't a me too or I had the same problem
  • it wasn't not derogatory

    re posting in commercial exchange:
read the commercial exchange forum charter [webmasterworld.com]. I can also tell you that you need to be a senior member to be able to post (re this post from Brett [webmasterworld.com])

le_gber gave a great response there - I don't have much to add!

It's also good to know that anytime a post is edited by a moderator or admin, you'll see edit trails at the bottom, that look like this:

[edited by: Hawkgirl at 11:56 pm (utc) on Aug. 13, 2006]

So you'll know who to contact if you are edited for some reason and you don't hear from the mod first.
