I just wanted to take a moment to thank all the members of WebmasterWorld.

Before I joined these forums I was a true neophyte, with one truly ametuer website. While I still stand in awe of the knowledge and experience demonstrated by so many on these boards, I also recognize how far I have come with the help so freely given here.

While I have yet to be able to leave the day job, I can say that I have managed to create a significant secondary stream of income from what I have learned here. I have also been able to expand my knowledge and skills by many orders of magnitude.

And, perhaps most important, I have begun to learn the value of those skills and knowledge.

That original ametuer site is now perhaps the single best ranked site in its niche, garnering hundreds of top 5 listings in the SERPs. As such it has served to bolster the success of our brick and mortar business in a way that I would not have imagined 3 years ago.

With what I have learned here I have also been able to begin giving back. My portfolio includes 3 pro bono sites designed and maintained for NPO's (as well as several other sites for hire). It really does seem that when we share freely we are freely rewarded.

That spirit of giving remains one of the most valued aspects of Webmaster World. My thanks to Brett, the mods and all those that frequent these boards. I hope that the spirit remains for many years to come, and that I can continue to be a part of it.

WBF, nice to hear that but what you should also know is that you, yes you a well know name of WebmasterWorld have helped many 100's of webmasters (lurkers) and members and you should feel warm inside knowing you helped make that site (that you will never hear of) what it is today :)
