ETA for new threads that are moderated?

How do I know if a new thread has been dropped?

Hi,

I started a topic in Google Search News and it was held back for examination by a moderator. OK, no argument with that, but I was wondering how much of a delay there might be before a thread is generally approved?

Or to put it another way, how long before I can assume that the thread is not going to be approved?

The charter mentions not including requests to individual members. I wrote "Hopefully GoogleGuy might see it (the issue raised in the thread) and tell us what it indicates." Does something like this breach the charter?
