I thought I posted this once in the feedback requested thread, but maybe it got ate or there was something wrong. Anyway, to resummarize:

At about 5:30pm PDT Nov 1, attempts to talk to WebmasterWorld server fail perhaps 1/3 of the time. When the TCP handshake completes, it's full-speed, no problem. When it fails, it's either a reset or else the TCP handshake does not complete and eventually there's a timeout.

Tested this from my home machine and a couple (very) independent locations (e.g., the W3C validator).

Did one traceroute that was fine, but of course it's a highly intermittent problem. Sitting there pounding the refresh button, sometimes fine, sometimes fail.

Now, at 11:11PDT, seems fine.

Oh. Maybe that's what the "working on system" means. Can't ever figure out those posting timezones.
