WebmasterWorld's London Internet Marketing meeting, Pubconference, has attracted sponsors including 888.com, Buy.at, ClickTracks, Miva, & PositionTech, and special guest Danny Sullivan. The half-day event is being held from 1pm on Friday 30th September at the Cittie of Yorke, 22 High Holborn, London, until late.
Webmasters and Search Engine Marketing experts will gather to discuss the latest news issues, challenges, technologies and developments in an informal networking environment. Such events are high productivity networking sessions for webmasters and for businesses seeking practical Internet marketing solutions.
"Delegates see the value in networking at our London event as they can meet and learn from the experts on a one-to-one basis. Following on the day after ADTech's London conference concludes, many Internet Marketers will still be in the perfect networking frame of mind," says Brett Tabke, WebmasterWorld's Pubconference organizer.
Pre-registration is essential to avoid increased on-the-door prices and disappointment as previous events have all been sold out. Register at [pubcon.com...]
Citte of Yorke History: The Cittie of Yorke offers Pubconference delegates an insight into London's history. Behind the nineteenth century facade, at the end of a passageway, there's a huge room of church-like proportions, which features a gantry above the long bar supporting massive 1000-gallon wine casks. This is the main networking arena providing ample opportunity to mingle, to meet and to do business. There are also mini-booths enabling discreet, one-to-one private meetings.

For anyone who hasnt been the venue is the same as the last London pubcon I attended and its worth going just to see the place itself. Fantastic location for what should be a great day .

I missed the last London Conference, (and I do mean I missed it) but I hopoe to make up for it this time.
thought these things went on for days
I'm arriving on Monday -- I've got a small amount of business to take care of early in the week, but I want to hang out as much as possible all week long with everybody/anybody who's available. I'm sure the Hilton Olympia has a lounge of some sort that we can use as our informal HQ
I'm one of Webmasterworld's greatest fans and I'm sure there's more to this than meets my eye. Perhaps somebody could explain.
We'll probably meet much longer but if its the same as previous years the drinks will only be free only during that interval.
I'll stay in or close to the Olympia Hilton from the 28, unfortunately too late to take part in the Google action over there :( Really looking forward to omeeting you all again!
Nice Hawkgirl, but how did you know my wife is coming? ;-)
Reading this [webmasterworld.com], it's clear that pubcon London is a different bag. Can I safely assume that it is simply a shmooze-fest with other members and sponsors, or is someone at some point going to saying something official at the conf? If so, when? And is it safe to assume that it'll be drinks and greetz until 6ish (official sponsored drinx ending at 4) and then folks head out for a bite?
Sorry to ask so many questions, but I am a pubcon n00b.
I ask also because I may need to duck out at some point to meet someone...
No formal speech, some one gets on a table and shouts out a few thankyou's etc... but its just an informal drink and chat and a chance to talk to a few people who understand what you are talking about :)
