We need a "Security" forum

Lots of security questions with no place to go

So I've been breaking my head lately trying to read up everything I can on security - PHP, MySQL, Perl, firewalls, XSS, network security, etc., etc., etc. There are a lot of questions to be asked in the area of general security, but so far there's no good place for them to live here at WW, especially when you consider that a lot of security-related questions aren't specific to any particular web technology.

How about it? Does anyone else think a "Security Issues" forum would be a good addition here?

Exactly. So many problems with a security forum that it is just not worth the hassle. We do try to highlight any major threats in the appropriate forums.

I should have figured someone had it all worked out long before now! ;) Actually I'd never really thought about the "script kiddies" using such a thing as a resource; I guess I'm just too trusting!
