Forum Moderators: open
I may have gotten a new job, I'll know sometime Monday. Without any other details about it (ever) I'll be working with CF (a lot) and I'd hate to look elsewhere when I already enjoy the WebmasterWorld community. If I get this job, a cold fusion forum gets put up, get my car fixed by the end of the year, I'll GLADLY pay the 150 to support WebmasterWorld!
As for a CF section, it would most likely be on the free side of things, like the php forum.
I don't know but if your new job has any relation to informaion that is here, it may be possible that reading WebmasterWorld gave you additional skills or knowledge that others did not have, thus giving you the position.
There are many good things here at WebmasterWorld and their conferences but I visit other websites, forums and conferences too. I do still feel it is worth it being a "paid member". I am not saying you have to or should be a paid member, but I feel that there is value in doing my part to make sure WebmasterWorld continues to be an available resource.
Ask yourself this: how many ColdFusion posts have you made? How many ColdFusion posts have you answered? You can already post about CF even though there is not a specific forum - for example in the Website Technology Issues [webmasterworld.com] forum. No-one's going to create a new forum if there are no threads to put in it, or if there is no clear demand.
So if you want a forum on a particular topic, post good threads about the topic, answer questions about the topic, and in time you might see enough volume that a new dedicated forum sees the light of day.
