WW Wiki

We need a wiki for webmaster world.

At webmaster world, I spend most of my time in the AdSense forum. Simple questions are asked, reasked then re-reasked and then re-re-reasked for a zillon times on and on again. And other members go on tirelessly answering them. It would be cool to save the energy and combine it by providing a wiki at WW where such simple repated questions are answered. The beauty of a wiki in contrast to an FAQ is that it can be added to by several members and will thus grow and florish with time. I believe a wiki would be the perfect complement for WW and would not reduce its traffice, but actually wikis would act as magnets attracting heavy traffic from search engines. The benefits from such an added service to members is sure crystal clear.

[I wonder if that very suggestion of mine was made before at WW. If it had, then that proves my point.]

I can't believe that I'm the one who posted this very idea here at WW before! So funny.

When we make a Wiki at WW, we can then refer to it as Wiki WW, or WWW, same as we refer to the world wide web ;)

Sure there is little tchnical barrier to suplementing webmaster world with a wiki and sure also it would be of great benefit to members, the remaining quesiton I think which we should by trying to answer is what benefit (or lack of benefit) does it bring to WW owners. As I arguied in my previous post, I believe it will not cause a decrease in traffic due to fewer repeated posts, but instead can lead to higher traffic due to many wiki pages acting as magnets and reference points attracting huge amounts of traffic from search engines and fixing the established high status of WW even further.
