It's been what, almost 2 years now that I've haunted the various forums of this site. I got here because I wanted to fix up my buddy's site. Well that happened (in spite of some difficulty), and I tried to keep an eye on what everyone else is talking about too.

Some of us measure success differently. But I will say that after all this time I have been successful. My buddy's site is number one all over the place. He's got more business than he can handle at times. I have finally generated enough ad revenue to get a few recent checks in the mail, and I expect a few more in the coming months/years. And yesterday I billed my first client. Starting from 2 years ago when I knew nothing about a web site and getting to this point is entirely because of this web site. Now if I had a plan I could be awesome!

that's about how I feel. I mean, I did the work myself but the info on what to look for, the people I've met who've helped me, they're all from this site.

The devil is really in the details.

A friend who consulted in semi conductor business who would laugh when someone approached him and asked him if he could build a blue fuzzy chip. His response was, anyone can build one of anything. He charged a fortune because he was able to build a million of them a day.

Being able to scale your vision is very important, no matter how you measure your success with.
