Forum Moderators: open
If for example I open a WW page via Google in a new browser window without being logged in, and first move on to new searches and other sites, and then get back to the WW forum window, the URL of the WW page is lost and hard to find back (go back to Google, remember used search terms + results page, as well as title of requested WW page).
This is so extremely annoying, especially when having opened multiple pages, without being logged in.
Setting a simple $redir variable in a hidden field would already do the trick!
Instead of redirecting to login page, it would also be possible to just include a login form instead of the forum contents: then the login form would point to the same page, and any other opened pages can just be refreshed to show the forum contents instead of the login form.
Most forums and login systems use something like this. It's an essential functionality.
Thanks so much.
Isn't it easier not to logout every time and extend the cookie duration [webmasterworld.com] to 10 years (3650 days) than to set up?

Brett, could you comment on this suggestion please? Is it on your to-do list already?
When I just opened a link from an email, while I wasn't logged in, the URL was lost again, and so was the email (deleted).
Fortunately I could find back the thread. However, there was no browser history, so no back-button.
Your suggestion is just a workaround, could you make this more simple, please?
How about adding a second link after "enter control panel", like "go to thread '...'" (fetched from a $redir or $last_thread variable).
It would be such a HUGE improvement to WW!
Thank you, WW rules!
