Email notifications take you to the first page on the thread

why not to the last page?

I've already read a thread and posted to it (that's how I deemed it worthwhile to be notified about any new posts in it) so why am I taken to the first page, and not to the last/latest one, where the new reply is, and it's probably where I wanted to continue reading the topic?

Moderators? Brett? anyone?

well you see - you can edit the number of msgs per thread off your preferences. With over 20k emails going out a day - emails are sent out bcc. Meaning - the system doesn't know who's preferences to use.
