Forum Moderators: open
latest occasion: i posted a note about the newest yahoo-feature Y!Q in forum "yahoo search" this morning. due to time zones (i'm in europe) it took quite a long time until the topic was through moderation. not my thread was published but somebody else's. that's ok, probably a dozen threads on the same issue were pending moderation, only one went through.
however the details were a little unfriendly:
as i said, i wouldn't complain, really a minor issue. just that such things have happened often. posts of mine in threads that were on-topic disappeared without any notice given. threads wouldn't be published leaving me without clue for the reason. and in one thread, i remember, i linked to a php-code-listing (licence-free and not a single non-code word nor one single link on that page!) that was perfectly on-topic. i was notified by a moderator ("no commercial links allowed") but he didn't reply to my question how a pure code-listing would be commercial.
just examples, similar things have happened more often.
i've been an irregular yet constructive poster over the last three years, i know and respect the TOS (i have nothing i could try to promote here, even if i wanted), i appreciate the community, treat everybody with respect and often refer to WebmasterWorld on my blog.
and i really like WebmasterWorld, it's a great resource and a great place to hang around. however these tiny but regular incidents of unfriendliness do delute my affection a little.
it's of course also a question of software workflows, maybe this could be taken into account when changing the software the next time?
