I have recently started to exceed my monthly bandwidth allowance (15Gb) due to increased usage of my message board.
I am considering trying to get the board sponsered and am trying to get a feel for just how bad the bandwidth usage could get if the board became very popular.
Has anyone got any numbers they would like to share ?

One board I know gets 1,000,000 pageviews a month.

Probably more realistic estimate is to go by extrapolating from total posts, multiplying by a factor of 10-50 reads per post (50 would be for very information-heavy boards, 10 would be for more social, check-in boards). Sorry can't be more exact, but board traffic figures are often a highly guarded site secret <evil grin>
