Grot! Twice in the last few days I hit submit without scoping out the wording of the subject and meta line and was not entirely pleased with the wording.

Are there special reasons for this? Is fraud or manipulation afoot when it comes to posting a title and then changing its wording? Can't we be given 2 minutes to revise the title, which includes 30 seconds to get over the shock or embarassment of our errors?

Why must I live in shame on those rare occasions when I type like a fool or proofread like one?

You are correct in why we do not allow title changes after a post. Abuse wouldn't be rampant, but it would be occasional and may cause some posters a serious problem.

I totally understand the situation and will put some consideration into allowing brief edits like you mentioned (especially for full or senior members)

Use the preview option on the compose message screen to take a look before you committ it to memory.

Of the 2 times I mention once I intended to hit preview button but the danged pointer moved just as I clicked. Grot! For that reason alone a brief 2 minute change might make sense and also cut down on admin/mod time cleaning up the occassion mistake. Also, we all know that the human eye just doesn't catch mistakes even after a first or second read.

Thanks for giving it though. With the right specs I think it would be a +.
