Just out of curiosity. Are *these* numbers still applying. I have a feeling that some of them might have changed recently. I can at least guess that Junior's requirement should've been pushed to 40?

I'd have to find the exact quote and who said it, but the gist is that because this is an SEO forum, the post count is just another algo to crack.

Membership levels are pretty meaningless anyway: they're just a measure of loquacity rather than insightfullness (just read my posts if you want proof!). Think quality, not quantity and you're on the right track. If you care enough about post count to ask, you're overestimating its importance. :)

It was just out of curiosity. I personally don't care about titles, but I know some people do, so I just keep that piece of info in mind, that's all. Besides, it's part of the "system" anyway, you know. :)

Personally, I like seeing the number of posts -- sometimes it helps me get a little better feel for what's going on during a fast and furious discussion, and it provides some clues (admittedly they can be misleading) about whether to trust the advice being offered. Sage sounding advice in someone's 28th post somehow doesn't carry quite as much weight as the same comments in someone's 2,728th post.

Same principle could apply to the titles, but I hadn't really figured out how they rank, or what they mean, other than the obvious (if someone is a moderator, I can safely assume they are at least somewhat knowledgable and level-headed).

everyone on this forum had 2 posts to their name at some point, although I do take your point and I too look at post numbers in certain discussions to try and help myself weigh commments being read.

I don't think these are accurate. If I'm following it correctly (and I may not be) Senior member starts at 401? Well, That's not true or else I'd be one. So either the data is old, or I just don't get it. :-)
