PubCon 7 started

3 of us talking about SEM at the Hilton

Wired internet in the rooms is 10.95 a day and pretty fast. No sign of WIFI.

We will scout out the 8 bars shortly.

Yea we got here about 4 hours ago and still haven't seen anyone. All the bars here are only open 4-11p... but the Paradise Cafe is open 24 hours (and they serve alcohol 24 hours :). Not the prettiest place in the hotel, but because of the hours it might be a good congregation spot.

I just got into my room - the broadband report was for Thomas' room. My room in central tower has no cat-5, but I seem to have found an open wireless network.

What do we need to be able to use their internet anyway? Just an ethernet cord? Or do they have one there? Would it be silly to bring a router?

Benihana Bar is the only sit down bar in the hilton. we'll be here until it 11

Tip: you may want to bring some sort of search engine or web paraphenalia (hat, tshirt, pin, etc) as it is difficult to congregate here with the hotel lacking a clear lobby bar.

benihanas (in the hilton) will be the best place to all hang out, even though it is a little dark, it is the largest with lots of group seating.
