Webmaster Standard Time

It's six o'clock here, what is it four o'clock there?

That was supposed to be WebmasterWorld Standard Time...

Anyway, this is a minor thing, but I always find myself wondering exactly what time the post times are based on.

If the admin gang is open to suggestions: would it be practical to add a "It is currently 0:00, WebmasterWorld Time," box somewhere on the page?

Again, it's not a major thing, but it might help in determining how immediate a thread response is without having to post oneself in order to see the time. Or, god forbid, figure out the time difference, commit it to memory and just do the math...;)

Just a thought.

You can set your local time in Control Panel ¦ System Preferences: Time Zone Offset. The system then tells you the offset from GMT next to each post. Is that what you're looking for?

That's exactly what I'm looking for. Thanks so much!

Am I missing something, or does it not automatically take into account U.S. Daylight Saving Time?

If not, I guess I'll add it to my list of clocks to change over the weekend.

I don't think it does take into account DST or BST or whatever. AFAIK, UTC (which mine is currently set to) is GMT in the Winter, so is an hour off for us here in the UK at the moment. I could be wrong though.
