Please excuse my lack of knowledge on this but I just can't figure out how to quote someone when I want to reply to their post?

To quote someone, use brackets as in the example below (hint - remove all spaces between brackets):
[ quote]This will make a quote box.[ /quote]

You can click the "Style Codes" link to the left-hand side of the data entry box - it will give you all kinds of neat little posting tips and tricks.

Thanks but isn't there an automatic way to do that? At the other boards I am a member of there is a button where you may do the quote without needing to do your own coding.

One other item which I have asked about before (but no replies) is why is it when sending a PM (is sticky mail the same as PM?) and ask to save it in the sent folder it never gets saved? Thanks.

You may want to post your suggestion about the auto quote here: [webmasterworld.com...]

And your sticky mail problem should be sent here:

There could be, but it would break compatibility. None of the quoting code that is out there works with alternative browsers. Give that we see every browser on earth here, it is important to remain compat clean coded.

Plus, there's always the extra-easy way to do a quote ... see above. ;)
