Refresh after post

Time once again for a sanity check

May be I'm not used to posting in long threads but lately I've noticed that when I post to a multi-page thread, the refresh takes me back to the first page of the thread, instead of to the page containing the latest message.

Is this new, or do I need to get out more? :)

Yeah, I've noticed that as well photon.

It's not new... I can't comment on you getting out more! ;)

Hmmm.... Just posted to a 3 page thread and it refreshed back to the third page. Did an "owner edit" on the same post, refreshed back to the first page.

BlobFisk, we all probably need to get out more. ;)

Because of rogue bots and se's linking in at the wrong spot using the former #msg system, we had to reset it for now. They were indexing the same post in multiple ways - couldn't have that.

So...an other solution will be put in place within a few months and the refresh will start to return you back to where it was originally intended.

Thanks for the explanation Brett.
