I haven't been able to find an up to date post about this so maybe someone can fill me in.

1) What are the cutoff levels for each member status?
2) Do sticky mails count? Does it count if you reply to a post? Or does it only count if you start the thread?

1) Stickymail messages do not count
2) Threads in local (Foo/Comunity centre/commercial) don't count
3) System counts all posts in a thread, regardless of whether you started it or not.
4) Some threads (such as google update threads) will have their post count contribution turned off.

There is an active post at the minute which says that 300 is for preferred member status. Ther hasn't been a recent thread for the rest of the levels, alothough I believe 600 is the senior level.

I think I got "un-prefered" at 700. And expect the levels to be raised again sooner or later. Or perhaps that the system gets completely reorganised.

I know "New User" starts as soon as you have registered, whether you have posted or not :)

Seriously, I the levels have changed back and forth, and will most likely continue to do so. The thing is, however, that your "status" really has nothing to do with anything. A user with only 5 posts may be just as knowledgeable as someone with 1000. It merely reflects how well you know WebmasterWorld itself. More posts = been here longer, you're expected to know the odds and ends, not drop personal URLs, etc :)
