I mean add an unmoderated Google forum. The existing forum is "oriented towards Google news for professional Webmasters and site operators". Clearly there should be a place for just general chat from non-professionals...

I agree. That would be pretty nice to have. A place for us to vent our frustration, and chat about Google's new look etc... Most of that goes on in the supporters side, and it'd be nice if everyone could get in on the conversation!
It still needs to be moderated, but not PRE moderated.
