Linkless Urls are sites that are mentioned so that it is intentionally not linked or that breaks the boards auto http/link feature. Most often it will be something in the formate of "foo dot com" or "foo dot com slash" or placing a star in the url. Examples of what we are talking about

ht*tp://foo.com
foo.com
foo dot com
http*//foo.com

When the CORRECT way to do it is:
[foo.com...]

This has been raised in to a higher level offense on WebmasterWorld. We are on a major push clean this up after we found several porn sites mentioned this way.

Please let any admin or moderator know if you see sites mentioned without a link in any current or back messages.

Standard "http" urls are as always fine within the TOS, but intentionally breaking a url so that it doesn't auto link, is being raised to a serious offense.

Thanks
Brett

Just to reitterate that this is a very serious issue for the board.

Please, do not drop urls that are intentionally broken. This has been raised to a class one alert...
