On the recent posts/active list [webmasterworld.com], there is a link on the right mid side called Unanswered Messages [webmasterworld.com]. That will list topics that have gone unanswered. If you would like to help out, answering a few of those would be a great contribution to the community.
And big thanks to those unsung heros who do answer them as they can.

On the third page of the Unanswered message list onwards, there are posts with 2, 3, 4 etc number of replies per message.

It isn't really a list of just unanswered messages, it is the "Recent Posts" lists sorted in ascending order by number of posts. So once you get through the unanswered messages, you will begin to see messages with one response, then two, etc.
Or did I misunderstand the issue?
